In-patient stay – what happens in the hospital?
As a rule, admission to the hospital takes place on the day of the operation. In individual cases, such as long journeys, in-patient admissions can also be arranged the day before. Please also note the item CHECKLIST from the field for patient information.
In the course of the postoperative stay, daily visits are carried out by employees of the Wirbelsäulenzentrum (Spine Center). The visits take place on weekdays around 7.30 a. m. – please stay in your room at these times to ensure that you don’t miss an examination and meeting.
The visiting physicians are informed via an online connection about your course of treatment and the procedure of the operation and can answer any questions you may have. If you have any questions, please write them down, so that you can make the best use of the time during your visit.
On weekends, the Wirbelsäulenzentrum (Spine Center) will visit you on Saturday or Sunday. For more detailed information about the time of day, please refer to the large panels in the ward area. The person on duty is also shown and named there.
During the in-patient stay a physiotherapeutic co-therapy takes place. Comfortable, sporty footwear and appropriate clothing facilitate this form of physiotherapy.
The Spine Center has a 24-hour stand-by service for you, which guarantees around the clock complete specialist medical care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
