Minimally invasive surgery

Minimally invasive surgery

Our philosophy generally includes the basic idea of minimally invasive therapy. The surgical procedure is performed with the least possible impairment of the healthy tissue through the smallest incisions.

These minimally invasive techniques should nowadays be part of the standard repertoire for the majority of smaller spinal procedures. In our company, we have further developed this form of maximum tissue protection and can also offer it for interventions that are, in most cases, still accompanied by pronounced trauma: Stabilizations of the lumbar spine, for example, are usually carried out by two small incisions next to the spine – this means that blood loss is at the level of a simple intervertebral disc operation (a few millilitres) and the operating time can be significantly reduced. This enables concepts that enable rapid mobilisation – even complex interventions can be mobilized again on the same day or the day after surgery!
